HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - TFE Technology, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Diebold, Incorporated (NYSE: DBD), received a perfect
award fee rating of 100 for the October 2003, through March 2004, evaluation
period. This accomplishment marks the fourth time TFE Technology has received
a perfect score from the Award Fee Evaluation Board and the United States Army
Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Redstone Arsenal.

reflection of its exceptional capabilities as a major player in this

Performance evaluation is based on technical
and contract management, performance and administration. Criteria includes
general, technical and resource management, data requirements, delivery,
quality control, customer satisfaction, timeliness and cost control.
