The Award Fee Evaluation Board (AFEB), US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama gave TFE Technology a numerical performance rating of 100.00 for the April-September 2002 award fee evaluation period. TFE Redstone also received a rating of 100.00 for the April-September 2001 award fee evaluation period. These are the highest performance award fee evaluation scores ever received by TFE Technology. The performance evaluation is based on technical and contract management, performance and administration. The criteria included general, technical and resource management, data requirement delivery, quality control, customer satisfaction, timeliness, and cost control.

In each area TFE was given an exemplary rating demonstrating an exceptionally high level of performance. The management summary stated that, "Contractor's technical management was excellent during this rating period. Contractor has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of performance, and there are essentially no areas for improvement. Additionally, contractor was able to achieve this excellent level of performance while providing exceptional cost savings to the Government." The administrative summary stated that. "Areas where improvement can be made in Cost Control and General Management: None noted during this rating period."

TFE Redstone's Project Manager stated that, "In order to receive a 100, we had to do  everything right. Everyone has to know the role they play in the overall success of the entire project,and then get the job done. I am extremely proud to be partner with such a great organization as AMCOM and a phenomenal group of TFE employees.....this proves the old adage that "teamwork works"!
