TFE Technology will be providing
support services at the United States Department of Education
headquarters in Washington DC and their regional offices throughout the United
States. TFE teamed with SAIC and ATS, on a proposal which has
resulted in a contract awarded by the Department of Education to
Team. TFE will be providing hardware maintenance
support, installation of cable, equipment relocations, changes,
installation and de-installation.
The award was a BPA under the General
Services Administration's (GSA) Federal Supply Service's (FSS) Multiple Award
Schedule program. The Department of Education's mission is to ensure
equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the
nation. It accomplishes this mission by providing financial support to
state and local education agencies, promoting educational standards, gathering
and disseminating information on the best educational practices, helping
families pay for postsecondary education, ensuring nondiscrimination by
recipients of federal education funds, and collecting high-quality
statistics on and conducting evaluations of federally funded education
programs.
The effective and efficient utilization of
information technology (IT) is critical to the Department's success. To
ensure that the Department has the IT resources it needs, a program that has
resulted in this award was established. The length of the BPA will be
from the date of award until the Department determines the BPA is no longer of
value, which will be reviewed annually.
